San Luis Potosí government expands public health and rehabilitation services

The municipal government of San Luis Potosí, led by Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos, has reported significant advancements in public health and rehabilitation services over a five-year period. Through the DIF Municipal, headed by Estela Arriaga Márquez, the administration expanded specialized care and prevention efforts to reduce barriers to access for local families.

The Unidad Básica de Rehabilitación (UBR) Maravillas provided over 255,148 specialized rehabilitation services aimed at improving physical, sensory, and emotional autonomy for citizens of all ages. To further enhance these capabilities, the city has begun constructing a hydrotherapy area and rehabilitating 1,000 square meters of the existing facility, including improvements to electrical and hydro-sanitary installations, accessibility features, and inclusive play areas.

Additionally, the 'Ruta de la Salud 3.0' program conducted 178 community tours to bring medical services directly to various neighborhoods. This initiative benefited 9,782 people through approximately 80,101 medical services and supports, including consultations, medications, prescription glasses, hearing aids, and dental treatments.
