San Luis Potosí governor launches job fair with 400+ openings and women‑in‑science congress
The state government of San Luis Potosí, led by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, organised a job‑fair called “Feria Mundialista 2026 Empléate Sin Límites” at Plaza Tangamanga. The event, run by the Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social and the Servicio Nacional de Empleo, featured 19 companies offering more than 400 formal vacancies across automotive, manufacturing, logistics, commerce and services, with participation from the International Organization for Migration, UNHCR, local training institutes and the Mexican Social Security Institute.
In parallel, the Consejo Potosino de Ciencia y Tecnología announced the first Congreso de la Red Potosina de Mujeres por la Ciencia, to be held on 25‑26 June at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí. The free congress aims to strengthen women’s leadership in STEM fields, foster regional collaboration, and generate socially‑relevant innovations, continuing the governor’s push for gender‑inclusive development in science and technology.
