San Luis Potosí Governor orders cabinet testimony amid reports of media harassment

In San Luis Potosí, Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona has instructed his cabinet members to appear before the State Congress to participate in public hearings as part of the fifth government report review. The Governor stated that this move aims to promote transparency and institutional dialogue, seeking to provide detailed answers to legislators regarding the use of public resources.

Simultaneously, the independent news outlet REDSL has reported facing digital harassment and attempts to compromise its social media presence. The outlet noted that its Facebook pages have been removed on at least three occasions since Gallardo Cardona took office. REDSL also reported suspicious activity involving automated accounts or bots, specifically noting a pattern of hundreds of reactions from unknown foreign profiles, which they suggest is a coordinated effort to target critical journalism.
