San Luis Potosí Leads Mexico's Industrial Growth and Launches Cultural Ambassador Competition

The state of San Luis Potosí posted the nation’s highest monthly industrial growth in March 2026, expanding 5.1% from the previous month, according to INEGI data. Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona credited the surge to his administration’s investment policies, infrastructure upgrades, and efforts to boost competitiveness across the state’s four regions.

Separately, the state government is holding the preliminary round of the Embajadora Fenapo 2026 contest on 11 July in Xilitla. Organized by the Secretariat of Culture, the competition seeks a representative to promote San Luis Potosí’s cultural, historical and tourism heritage, emphasizing regional music, crafts, dance, languages, cuisine and artistic legacy.
