San Luis Potosí legislators seek security oversight and fund release

In San Luis Potosí, Deputy Cuauhtli Fernando Badillo Moreno has renewed a request through the Public Security, Prevention, and Social Reinsertion Commission to allow legislative representatives to attend Peace and Security Construction meetings. Badillo proposed that commission members attend as guests and observers to monitor the security situation without intervening in operational decisions. The proposal currently faces scrutiny from PVEM and PT deputies and remains pending analysis.

Separately, local deputies are pressing the state government to release outstanding public funds to civil society organizations (CSOs). Deputy Perla Villarreal Valdez reported that approximately 317.5 million pesos remain undelivered, affecting programs for vulnerable populations, including food assistance, disability services, and migrant support. The delay has reportedly led to staff reductions and the potential closure of various social projects.
