San Luis Potosí Mayor confirms government report at Plaza de los Fundadores

San Luis Potosí Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos has confirmed that his government report will be held on September 29 at 18:30 in the Plaza de los Fundadores. To ensure safety during the mass event, the underground parking lot beneath the public space will be shored up, a measure the mayor noted has been used in previous instances.

Despite previous concerns regarding fissures in the plaza's surface caused by large gatherings, Galindo stated that the State Civil Protection Coordination has not raised any objections to the event. The mayor indicated that current efforts are focused on preparing the site to guarantee a safe development of the report.

Additionally, the municipal government has authorized the use of several public squares, including Fundadores, El Carmen, Armas, and San Francisco, for activities related to the Xantolo festival organized by the State Secretariat of Culture. Galindo emphasized that the allocation of these spaces follows a scheme of institutional coordination and a pre-programmed agenda.
