San Luis Potosí offers STEM scholarships for US university residency

The San Luis Potosí government, through the Potosino Council of Science and Technology (Copocyt), has launched the STEM ESL Program for High School Students 2027. The initiative provides full scholarships for up to 15 students from public high schools to participate in an academic residency at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States.

The comprehensive support package includes tuition, round-trip flights, ground transportation, university residence accommodation, full meals, international medical insurance, and didactic materials. The program focuses on specialized training in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), alongside cultural immersion workshops designed to strengthen English language proficiency, communication skills, and critical thinking.
