San Luis Potosí officials launch infrastructure and urban improvement projects
San Luis Potosí Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona has inaugurated several infrastructure projects aimed at improving connectivity and urban conditions in the Huasteca region. In Axtla de Terrazas, the governor delivered the rehabilitation of the Cómoca-Axtla road, a 3,175-meter project involving paving, drainage improvements, and safety enhancements. This 15-million-peso investment is expected to benefit over 9,000 people across 19 localities by facilitating safer travel and economic activity.
Additionally, the state government has commenced construction of a new welcome arch in Axtla de Terrazas with a 1-million-peso investment. In Ciudad Valles, Tourism Secretary Yolanda Cepeda Echavarría, in coordination with Mayor David Armando Medina Salazar, is launching the “Enchúlame la Colonia” program. This initiative involves evaluating various neighborhoods, such as San Rafael, Infonavit, and La Pimienta, to select 20 areas for urban infrastructure improvements based on their specific needs and service deficits.
