San Luis Potosí presents book documenting Sebastián sculpture exhibition

San Luis Potosí Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos led the presentation of the book ‘Chac Mool. Memoria Gráfica. Exposición Itinerante San Luis Capital Verano 2026’. The publication documents a summer exhibition of 40 pieces by Mexican sculptor Enrique Carbajal González, known as Sebastián.

The exhibition featured a variety of works, including monumental and medium-format sculptures, models, and preparatory drawings, displayed throughout the city's historic center. The book also highlights the work of local photographers from San Luis Potosí who captured the event.

Mayor Galindo noted the popularity of the piece ‘El Pasito’ and expressed intentions to pursue efforts to keep the sculpture in San Luis Potosí as a permanent urban landmark and community meeting point.
