San Luis Potosí projects 251 million pesos in economic impact for Day of the Dead
The San Luis Potosí metropolitan area expects an economic influx of 251 million pesos during the Day of the Dead celebrations and the upcoming holiday period from October 29 to November 2. The Secretary of Tourism (Sectur) anticipates an average hotel occupancy rate of 55 percent, supported by more than 6,500 available rooms in the region.
Key attractions include the “Xantolo en tu ciudad” festivities and the “Ofrenda de Luz” videomapping spectacle, which will be held at the Metropolitan Cathedral from October 23 to 25. These cultural activities, organized by the state government and local municipalities including Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, Villa de Pozos, and Cerro de San Pedro, aim to boost local commerce, restaurants, and service providers while promoting regional traditions.
