San Luis Potosí pushes ahead with sports complex, school remodel, road upgrades and El Saucito highway tender

Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona inaugurated a new municipal sports complex in Cedral, featuring synthetic‑grass football fields, a baseball field, a running track and playground equipment. At the same time, the state began work on the full remodel of Secondary Technical School No. 31 and the asphalt resurfacing of the El Blanco‑Los Nazarios road, projects aimed at improving education facilities and local mobility.

Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos reported that a university study finds the El Saucito road project feasible and urged the state to release the tender documentation. He outlined three steps for the project – technical assessment, community consensus building and administrative approval – warning that delays in the tender could push back the schedule, which targets completion before the February patron saint festivities.

Both initiatives are part of a broader effort by state and municipal authorities to upgrade infrastructure and services across the Altiplano region of San Luis Potosí.
