San Luis Potosí readies FENAPO 2026 with artisan pavilion call and star concerts

The state Secretariat of Economic Development (SEDECO) opened the application process for the Artisan Pavilion of the 2026 National Potosí Fair (FENAPO). The call lists categories such as pottery, jewelry, textiles and traditional medicine, and gives priority to indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities and seniors. Applicants must be residents of San Luis Potosí, have at least five years of experience, be registered in the State Artisan Registry and meet documentation requirements. Registration closes at 00:00 hrs on 17 July 2026, and the selection results will be announced on 22 July.

Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona announced that the fair will run from 7 to 30 August 2026, expecting thousands of visitors. He highlighted free concerts at the Star Forum featuring international acts such as Mötley Crüe and Katy Perry, warned the public against fraudulent ticket sales, and said the state is coordinating with tourism, hotel, restaurant and commercial sectors to ensure security, infrastructure and quality services for an unforgettable experience.
