San Luis Potosí renovates Tangamanga tennis courts and launches San Luis Open 2026

The state government of San Luis Potosí completed a rapid, less‑than‑one‑month refurbishment of eight courts at the Centro Tenístico Tangamanga. The works were inaugurated by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, who said the project demonstrates the administration’s commitment to keep public sports facilities in dignified condition for local families.

The renovated courts opened with the “Sin Límites” San Luis Open 2026, a tennis tournament scheduled for 1‑4 October that will host amateur and professional players. Officials including Francisco Javier Serrano Altuzar, head of the Instituto Potosino de Cultura Física y Deporte, and José Luis Mejía López, director of the Tangamanga cultural‑recreation centers, highlighted that the upgrade provides safe, functional venues for training and competition and will be maintained continuously.
