The XXIII International Congress of Pediatrics will take place on October 29, 30, and 31 at the Bicentenario University Cultural Center in San Luis Potosí. Organized with the participation of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP), the public health sector, and the College of Pediatrics, the event aims to focus on disease prevention and comprehensive child health care.

Key topics include vaccination programs for measles, pertussis, pneumococcus, and dengue, as well as childhood nutrition, breastfeeding, and the management of obesity and malnutrition. The congress will also address sleep apnea, allergic diseases, and the prevention of accidents in homes and schools.

A significant portion of the program will address the impact of excessive screen time, social media, and electronic devices on child development. Experts will discuss the neurological risks for children under two years old and issues such as eye dryness and attention deficits.
