San Luis to expand Hora+ Program to 100 primary schools

San Luis Governor Claudio Poggi and Minister of Human Capital Sandra Pettovello have agreed to expand the ‘Hora+’ Program to 84 additional primary schools in the province. This expansion will bring the total number of participating state-managed institutions to 100, representing approximately 33% of all primary schools in San Luis.

The program increases the weekly school hours from 20 to 25, adding one hour of instruction per day. The curriculum will focus specifically on reading, writing, and mathematics.

To facilitate this, San Luis Education Minister Guillermo Araujo is expected to sign a formal agreement with the National Secretary of Education in the coming days. The national government, through the Ministry of Human Capital, will provide the majority of the funding required for the additional teacher compensation for the extra instructional hour.
