San Luis: Young man dies after electric shock during alleged cable theft
A 24-year-old man has died at the Hospital Central Dr. Ramón Carrillo in San Luis after suffering severe burns from an electric shock. The incident occurred during the early hours of August 28 in the Pescadores neighborhood.
According to police reports and statements from the victim's partner, the man was allegedly attempting to cut high-voltage cables in a public area when the discharge occurred. He was later found lying in the street near the 1° de Mayo neighborhood with extensive burns.
The Fiscalía de Instrucción en lo Penal N° 1 has taken charge of the case. Following the incident, a report was filed at the 4th Section Police Station regarding damages caused in the area. The victim passed away due to cardiorespiratory failure after being treated in intensive care.
