San Marcos High School basketball coach Matt Jordan resigns

Matt Jordan has resigned as the head boys basketball coach of San Marcos High School after two seasons. During his tenure, Jordan led the Royals to an overall record of 43-15.

In the 2024–25 season, the team achieved a 21–8 record and finished second in the Channel League. The following season, the team improved to 22–7 overall and 12–2 in league play, also securing a second-place finish. The program also advanced to the second round of the 2026 CIF Southern Section Division 2 Playoffs.
