San Marino advances new Strategic Territorial Planning law with stakeholder seminar

A seminar on the new Strategic Territorial Planning Law (Law No. 87 of 23 June 2026) was held on 30 July 2026 in the Sala Montelupo in Domagnano. Organized by the State Secretariat for the Territory, the meeting gathered representatives of social and economic forces, the Cantonal Boards, professional orders, technical commissions and the Department of Territory offices.

State Secretary for the Territory Matteo Ciacci thanked participants, stressing that the law can achieve its goals only through constant dialogue with all actors. He described the seminar as the first step in a collaborative process to develop thematic plans that translate the reform’s principles into concrete interventions for sustainable development and territorial enhancement. The Secretariat announced that further consultation sessions will be scheduled in the coming months to support the law’s implementation.
