San Marino and Marche Region reach agreement on wildlife management

The Republic of San Marino and the Marche Region of Italy are working toward a new agreement to strengthen cooperation regarding wildlife management and hunting activities. An institutional meeting was held between San Marino’s Secretary of State for Territory and Environment, Matteo Ciacci, and Marche Regional Councilor Giacomo Bugaro to discuss the development of a new protocol.

This new protocol is intended to replace a 2005 agreement previously held with the Province of Pesaro and Urbino. The upcoming framework aims to expand structured collaboration through administrative, technical, and scientific cooperation, specifically focusing on the monitoring and management of wildlife.

A key component of the agreement involves simplifying procedures for Sammarinese citizens who hunt within the Marche territory. The protocol seeks to streamline administrative tasks, such as the annual management of hunting licenses, by enhancing coordination between the two administrations.
