San Marino athletes compete in World Skate Games ASU26 in Paraguay

The World Skate Games ASU26 began in Paraguay, running from October 2 to 18. The event features athletes, technicians, and officials from around the world. During the competition, San Marino skater Matilde Terenzi secured 9th place in Speed Slalom, while Tommaso Terenzi finished 16th.

The San Marino delegation faced significant travel difficulties due to visa issues caused by typographical errors in their documentation. While the Ambassador of San Marino to Paraguay, Pablo José Sandonato de León, successfully resolved the paperwork, the athletes missed their original flight. To ensure participation, Matilde Terenzi traveled alone on the first available flight with a single remaining seat.

In addition to the athletic competitions, the World Skate Congress was held on October 3, addressing statutory changes and the affiliation of federations from Guam, the Central African Republic, and Equatorial Guinea.
