San Marino concludes summer programs and prepares for Regency installation
San Marino has concluded its 2026 summer camp season, with the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture reporting that approximately 800 children were hosted weekly. The program managed 1,532 applications across 16 school sites and five external locations. While parent feedback was generally positive regarding staff professionalism, some concerns were raised regarding the air conditioning in certain environments.
In political developments, Imma Tor Faus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra, has been named the official speaker for the upcoming Regency installation on October 1. The Grand and General Council is expected to nominate the new Captains Regent, with candidates William Casali (PDCS) and Gerardo Giovagnoli (PSD) indicated.
Additionally, a San Marinese parliamentary delegation is currently in Andorra for the 19th Conference of the Presidents of the Parliaments of the Small European States. The visit aims to facilitate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and a joint declaration.
