San Marino launches ‘Dal Turista al Contadino’ food and culture festival
The three-day festival ‘Dal Turista al Contadino’ has launched in San Marino, featuring events across the historic center and Borgo Maggiore to promote local agricultural products. The initiative is part of the ‘Dalla Terra alla Tavola’ program, organized by the Secretariat of State for Territory, Environment, and Agriculture in collaboration with the Terra di San Marino Consortium.
The festivities begin with the ‘San Marino nel piatto’ culinary contest in Piazza Sant’Agata. Four local restaurants—Cesare, La Terrazza, Brace da Donati, and InPerfetto—will compete to create original recipes using surprise ingredients sourced exclusively from the territory. Secretary of State Matteo Ciacci stated the goal is to connect producers, restaurateurs, and visitors to support local investment and identity.
The event concludes on Sunday with the ‘Cable Club’ by Dragon Valley, an unconventional musical performance where DJs Martin Minotti and Pierluigi Berardi will perform from within a San Marino cable car cabin, providing a musical experience for passengers traveling between the City and Borgo Maggiore.
