San Marino pushes for national referendum and launches media alliance with Italy

Civic groups in San Marino, including Motus Liberi and local committees, are urging a nationwide referendum, arguing that the issue unites voters across party lines and should be decided by all citizens rather than a single party. The call is backed by the leader of the Civico Community and Territory group, Valentina Pelliccioni, and President Pazzaglia, who describe the referendum as the only way for the whole country to have a final say.

San Marino RTV and the Italian publishing house Group Sae have signed a protocol to create the “Point of View” editorial alliance. The partnership will produce shared journalistic and audiovisual projects, preserve editorial independence, and aim to strengthen cultural dialogue between the micro‑state and Italy, with leaders Alberto Leonardis and Roberto Sergio emphasizing the initiative’s European and international relevance.
