San Marino reaches public employment wage agreement

An agreement has been reached between the government and unions regarding public employment and wage earners. The deal includes a 3% increase for 2025 and a 2% advance for 2026.

Francesca Busignani, General Secretary of USL, stated that the objective is to conclude the full contract by the end of the year. The agreement aims to address economic and regulatory issues, including contract duration.

The Partito dei Socialisti e dei Democratici (PSD) welcomed the decision, describing it as a vital step toward restoring purchasing power lost to rising living costs. The PSD noted that while prices have risen significantly since 2014, public sector wages have not kept pace.
