San Marino RTV announces new 2026-2027 season and original productions

San Marino RTV has announced its 2026-2027 television season, marking a strategic shift toward original productions and international reach. Under the leadership of Director General Roberto Sergio, the broadcaster aims to move away from reliance on reruns to become a modern public service hub for the Republic of San Marino.

The new programming lineup features a variety of well-known Italian television personalities, including Myrta Merlino, Simona Ventura, Red Ronnie, and Mauro Mazza. Key content areas will include enhanced news coverage on geopolitics and economy, as well as specialized programming for the Eurovision Song Contest cycle.

Technological advancements are central to this evolution, including the launch of the RTV Play OTT platform and significant investments in studio upgrades. The broadcaster is also pursuing strategic alliances, such as a memorandum of understanding with the SAE Group, to create a “glocal” approach that combines local identity with a global perspective.
