San Martino al Cimino cordons off ancient gate due to structural damage

A portion of the 17th-century masonry has detached from the base of an ancient gate at the upper entrance of San Martino al Cimino. Following reports from local residents on October 2, local police cordoned off the area to protect pedestrians and vehicles from potential injury.

Local officials have initiated emergency protocols. Councilor Katia Scardozzi notified the local police and the public works department, while Councilor Stefano Floris is coordinating technical analyses to determine the best restoration strategy. The administration is currently working to coordinate with the superintendency to authorize the necessary repair works.
