San Martino Hospital inaugurates new Stem Cell Transplant Center
A new Stem Cell Transplant Center has been inaugurated at the San Martino Polyclinic in Genoa. The facility, located on the second floor of Pavilion 6, was funded by an investment of over 2.5 million euros.
The project was made possible through donations from the AIL Genova Savona e Imperia association, supported by local citizens and Intesa Sanpaolo. Professor Emanuele Angelucci, director of Hematology at San Martino, stated that the new infrastructure and equipment will provide a significant technological and qualitative leap for the hospital and the region.
The center is expected to become operational in the coming months following the acquisition of necessary certifications. It will serve patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplants.
