San Martino Valle Caudina inaugurates rebuilt Piazza XX Settembre

The new Piazza XX Settembre has been officially inaugurated in San Martino Valle Caudina, marking a significant milestone in the town's recovery following the devastating floods of December 2019. The revitalized square serves as a symbolic center for the community, restored to ensure safety and aesthetic impact.

During the inauguration, regional leaders and local officials discussed critical infrastructure needs for the Valle Caudina region. Key topics included the restoration of the Cancello-Benevento railway, which has faced a six-year stalemate, and the construction of a tunnel connecting the valley to the A16 motorway to improve access to Naples. Regional Councilor Maurizio Petracca and Vice President of the Campania Region Mario Casillo participated in the discussions regarding the Masterplan for the area.
