San Martín de los Andes to host regional cybercrime congress

San Martín de los Andes will host the second edition of the Regional Congress on Cybercrime and Digital Evidence. Organized by the Universidad Austral’s Cybercrime and Digital Evidence Observatory (OCEDIC) in partnership with TikTok, the event is scheduled for August 27.

The congress aims to train members of the judiciary, security forces, and educational communities on the challenges posed by digital crimes. It will bring together representatives from five provinces: Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz, and Tierra del Fuego.

Key topics include the handling of digital evidence during investigations and oral trials, as well as tools for investigating criminal cases involving children and adolescents. The agenda features various specialists, including prosecutors and information security consultants.
