San Mauro Castelverde inaugurates new outdoor fitness area

San Mauro Castelverde has inaugurated a new outdoor fitness area located on via Piano Noce in the site of the former small hospital. The public space is designed to promote physical activity, well-being, and social interaction by providing citizens with accessible outdoor sports equipment.

Mayor Giuseppe Minutilla stated that the area is intended to be a new reference point for outdoor enthusiasts and a way to enhance the quality of life in the community. He emphasized the importance of citizens respecting and preserving the equipment and the space.

The area is monitored by the Municipal Police and maintained by the municipality. Operating hours are from 8:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 21:00 between September 1 and May 31. During the summer period from June 1 to August 31, evening hours are extended until 23:00.
