San Michele authorities close illegal truck parking site

Authorities in San Michele have permanently closed an unauthorized area used for the parking and storage of heavy trucks and vehicles on via Casale 45. Following complaints from local residents regarding noise, exhaust fumes, and safety concerns, municipal workers and local police blocked access to the site.

Investigations revealed that the storage activity was being conducted on land designated for agricultural use without the necessary permits. Additionally, a prefabricated structure used as an office was found to be unauthorized. Although the operating company challenged the municipality's orders, both the Piedmont TAR and the Council of State upheld the local government's position, confirming the incompatibility of the activity with the land's urban designation.
