San Miguel de Allende hosts art fair and NGO summit

San Miguel de Allende recently hosted two significant gatherings focused on culture and social development.

The SOMOS. ARTE 2026 fair took place at Hacienda Herencia de Allende from August 21 to 23. The event served as a meeting point for contemporary artists, gallerists, and collectors, featuring a wide array of creators and special performances designed to foster community and artistic expression.

Simultaneously, the city hosted the 1st Meeting for the Strengthening of Civil Society Organizations. The forum brought together more than 100 NGOs from various municipalities in Guanajuato, including León and Guanajuato capital, to build collaborative networks. During the event, the Lokkal Foundation presented the Luminary award to Rosario Corona, head of the Secretaría del Nuevo Comienzo, in recognition of her leadership and service.
