San Miguel de Allende hosts community fair with discounted admission

San Miguel de Allende hosted a community fair featuring mechanical rides, a circus, an ice rink, a dinosaur expo, and a public theater. To encourage family participation, municipal president Mauricio Trejo announced free admission on Friday and Saturday during the first weekend of the event, held from September 18 to 20. General admission for other days was set at 25 pesos.

The municipality provided free transportation for residents of surrounding communities using 32 buses to facilitate travel to and from the venue. Local authorities, including security, emergency services, mobility, and public services, coordinated the event. Security reports indicated a generally peaceful weekend, with eight arrests made for aggressive behavior and public intoxication.

Musical performances during the opening weekend included Lo Mejor del Rock en Español, Banda Cuisillos, and Edwin Luna y La Trakalosa de Monterrey.
