San Miguel Rural School in Pulpí to receive €2.8 million expansion
The Andalusian Education Council, through the Public Agency of Andalusian Education, awarded the construction contract for the expansion and renovation of the CPR San Miguel school in San Juan de los Terreros, Pulpí, to Construcciones J. Lorenzo, S.L. for €2,836,905.86. The project, scheduled for completion within 12 months, will transform the rural school into a C1‑type centre with infant and primary education lines, raising total capacity to 225 student places.
The works include adding an adjacent plot to bring the total site area to 5,127.82 m², constructing a new two‑storey building on the south side, and building a gym with changing rooms on the west side. New classrooms, a cafeteria, a music workshop and upgraded administrative spaces will be created. Energy‑efficiency measures such as a bioclimatic ventilation system, solar photovoltaic panels and aerothermal heating will be installed. The project is co‑financed by the European Union under the Andalucía FEDER 2021‑2027 programme.
