San Nicola Arcella to host fourth Trofeo Arcomagno chess tournament

The fourth edition of the Trofeo Arcomagno international chess tournament is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 27, 2026, in San Nicola Arcella at the Hotel San Giorgio. Organized by ASD Scacchi Riviera dei Cedri, the event features a total prize pool of 2,500 euros and is divided into three categories based on player scores.

Participants will receive a t-shirt designed by artist Flavio Di Giorno and, through cooperation with the local municipality and Pro Loco, will have free access to visit the Arcomagno. The tournament aims to combine competitive sport with the promotion of the Riviera dei Cedri region.

A highlight of the event is a ‘10 against 1’ simultaneous exhibition scheduled for Saturday evening in Piazza Siciliano. This session will feature International Master Fabrizio Bellìa, captain of the Italian senior national team and a recent silver medalist at the European Championship in Crete.
