San Nicola la Strada honors late mayor Nicola Tiscione

The community of San Nicola la Strada is commemorating the 15th anniversary of the death of Nicola Tiscione. Tiscione served as mayor from 1997 to 2001 and was a prominent local figure known for his advocacy regarding social justice, environmental protection, and peace.

In recognition of his legacy, the Caserta provincial delegation of the International Movement for Peace and Safeguarding has posthumously awarded him the title of ‘Mayor for Peace of the City of San Nicola la Strada’. He is remembered for his efforts in defending the rights of marginalized groups and his environmental activism, specifically his campaign to close the Lo Uttaro landfill.
