Argentina youth tournaments spotlight U13 basketball, volleyball and junior roller hockey

The Provincial U13 female basketball championship was held in San Nicolás, Buenos Aires Province, from June 25 to 28. Eight teams competed, with San Nicolás, Chivilcoy and La Plata representing the North zone and Bahía Blanca, Mar del Plata and Tandil the South zone. The semifinals and final on June 28 determined the provincial champion.

The Argentine Sub‑13 volleyball Open took place in Santa Fe at Club Villa Dora between June 19 and 21. Huracán Vóley progressed to the Copa de Plata final after defeating Atlético Franck, Ciudad de Buenos Aires and Jorge Newbery, but fell 2‑1 to Libertad de Sunchales in a close championship match.

The Argentino Juvenil Masculino roller‑hockey tournament was staged in San Juan from June 15 to 20, featuring the country’s 16 top junior teams. Unión Vecinal de Trinidad (UVT) claimed the title by drawing 3‑3 with Valenciano in regular time and winning the subsequent penalty shoot‑out 2‑0. The event also saw Olimpia (SJ) finish third and a full classification of all participating clubs.
