San Nicolás pilgrimage triggers road closures in Argentina
Authorities in Villa Gobernador Gálvez and Villa Constitución have announced security and traffic operations for the upcoming 31st Rosario-San Nicolás pilgrimage.
In Villa Gobernador Gálvez, traffic on San Martín Avenue will be interrupted starting at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, affecting the direction toward Alvear from the Ayacucho street continuation to the Alvear entrance. Drivers using the Circunvalación route will be unable to access Provincial Route 21 via San Martín and are advised to use alternatives such as the Swift access, Nogués descent, or Raúl Alfonsín Avenue. Specific pedestrian crossing points on Route 21 have been designated, including San Diego, Balcarce, Mitre, and several others.
In Villa Constitución, local authorities and security forces have coordinated a special operation to manage the influx of pilgrims, establishing various service points and detours to ensure safety during the religious event.
