San Nicolás Shopping Center nominated for Fenalco Antioquia awards

The San Nicolás Shopping Center, located in Rionegro, has been nominated in the “A las Regiones” category for the 2026 Noche de los Mejores awards. Organized by Fenalco Antioquia, the awards recognize businesses and institutions that contribute to the economic and social development of the department.

Since beginning operations in 2007 with 20 brands, the complex has expanded to over 325 brands across approximately 108,000 square meters of infrastructure. The center's operations generate more than 2,300 jobs and provide services in commerce, gastronomy, entertainment, and wellness for the Oriente Antioqueño subregion.

The nomination also highlights the center's sustainability efforts. Recent infrastructure stages have achieved EDGE certification, an international standard that has resulted in 21% energy savings and 47% water savings. Winners will be announced on October 21 at the Teatro Metropolitano in Medellín.
