San Paolo Hospital hosts international endoscopic ear surgery workshop

The 18th International Workshop on Endoscopic Ear Live Surgery took place on September 25, 2026, at the San Paolo Hospital in Naples. Organized by the Otorhinolaryngology Unit under the direction of Giuseppe Panetti, the event focused on endoscopic ear surgery, a technique that complements traditional otomicroscopic approaches.

The workshop hosted specialists from various countries, including Austria, Georgia, Australia, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Belgium. The program featured live endoscopic surgery sessions conducted simultaneously in two operating rooms, allowing participants to interact with surgeons in real time. This minimally invasive technique utilizes the auditory canal to visualize hidden areas of the ear, aiming to reduce surgical trauma, improve precision, and shorten patient recovery times.
