San Pedro Cholula attack death toll rises to three
A violent attack in San Pedro Cholula, Puebla, has resulted in a third fatality. Ricardo N., a 17-year-old, died on August 19, 2026, at the Hospital General de Cholula after spending 24 days hospitalized.
The teenager succumbed to intracranial and cranioencephalic trauma sustained during an assault in late July at the Fuentes del Camino Real residential area. The suspect, identified as Ángel N., is currently held in the Tepexi de Rodríguez prison.
This death brings the total number of victims from the incident to three. The previous fatalities include the suspect's parents, 78-year-old Ángel N. and 54-year-old Luz María N.
In a separate incident in Santa Isabel Cholula, authorities reported the discovery of a 49-year-old man's body in a residence in Santa Ana Acozautla. The victim was found bound and covered with a blanket, showing signs of violence including facial and cranial contusions. Local police are awaiting the State Attorney General's Office to conduct investigations.
