San Pedro Cholula market revamped with municipal support
The municipal government of San Pedro Cholula inaugurated the renovation of Mercado Cosme del Razo, delivering a newly rehabilitated space aimed at improving the urban image and boosting local commerce. Mayor Tonantzin Fernández highlighted the project as a commitment to the market’s vendors, saying the work restores dignity and offers a safer, more attractive environment for shoppers and tourists. Market administrator Arturo Juárez thanked the mayor for addressing a key need of the merchants, urging them to maintain the facilities. The improvement is expected to increase visitor traffic and support the economic well‑being of families that depend on the market.
The ceremony also included the unveiling of a commemorative plaque marking the completion of the renovation, signalling the municipality’s ongoing effort to strengthen the city’s commercial sector.
