San Pedro Ecatepec residents demand cancellation of PODECIBI project

Residents of San Pedro Ecatepec, located in the Atlangatepec municipality, traveled to Mexico City to protest at the National Palace. They are demanding that President Claudia Sheinbaum cancel the PODECIBI (Polo de Desarrollo de Economía Circular para el Bienestar) project.

Members of the ‘Frente Ciudadano San Pedro Ecatepec y Comunidades’ joined protesters from San José Chiapa, Puebla, to voice opposition to federal government projects in their territories. The demonstrators cited concerns regarding pollution, the violation of their right to a healthy environment, and the impact on their land.
