San Pio Hospital extends medical staff contracts in Benevento

The AORN San Pio hospital in Benevento has extended several medical contracts to ensure the continuity of emergency services. Manager Maria Morgante signed two separate resolutions to address staffing needs while the facility awaits the acquisition of new medical personnel through standard procedures.

One measure extends the contracts of three doctors working in the outpatient clinic dedicated to low-priority cases (white and green codes) until December 31, 2026. This initiative aims to manage less urgent cases more efficiently and reduce overcrowding in the emergency department. Further extensions depend on future regulatory approvals.

A second measure extends the assignments of three retired doctors providing services to the Emergency Medicine and Accident & Emergency department at Rummo. These contracts, which were set to expire, have been extended from October 21 through December 31, 2026.
