San Rafael to host Pre Cosquín 2026 folklore competition

San Rafael has been officially confirmed as the host for the Pre Cosquín 2026 competition, marking the first time the event will be held in southern Mendoza. The festival aims to select regional representatives for the major stage in Córdoba.

Scheduled to take place from October 16 to 19 at the Centro de Congresos Alfredo Bufano, the event will feature various categories including vocal and instrumental music, dance (malambo and traditional), and recitation. The festivities will include an opening ceremony, live performances, an artisan fair, and a gastronomic area.

To support local social initiatives, general admission requires a non-perishable food donation, which will be provided to the San José dining hall and snack bar.
