San Rafael’s historic Nuestra Señora de Lourdes parish begins restoration

The parish of Nuestra Señora de Lourdes in San Rafael, Argentina, has started work to restore the façade and stairways of its 134‑year‑old temple. The project, launched as part of a community campaign, aims to complete the work by December 8, the feast of the Immaculate Conception. Parish priest Víctor Torres said the restoration will preserve a key cultural and spiritual landmark for future generations.

The campaign invites donations of money, building materials, and skilled labor, with a “600 socios” program encouraging 600 individuals to contribute 25,000 pesos each month for six months to fund the repairs.
