San Ramon Valley Unified School District moves to sell Danville office
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) has begun the process of selling its longtime office site located at 699 Old Orchard Drive in Danville. Following a Board of Education vote to declare the site surplus property, the district has notified eligible public agencies and nonprofits, including the town of Danville and the East Bay Regional Park District, of their priority period to express interest in acquiring the property.
If no eligible agencies express interest during the 60-day statutory notice period, the district intends to seek state clearance to list the property for developers and other private parties. This move is part of a broader financial strategy to address a budget deficit by generating sale proceeds and leasing space at the district’s new offices at Crow Canyon Place in San Ramon.
Superintendent CJ Cammack indicated that the disposition process follows California statutory guidelines. The district expects the final sale to take approximately 12 months, involving a state waiver application process estimated to last six months.
