San Román announces centennial celebrations including parades and student contests

The province of San Román is organizing various cultural and commemorative activities to celebrate its centennial.

As part of the festivities, the animal welfare organization Entre Patas has announced the ‘Corso de la Integración Canina 2026’. This canine parade is scheduled to take place in Juliaca on the same day as the ‘Corso de la Integración Andina’, providing a dedicated space for pets and their families during the provincial anniversary celebrations.

Additionally, the San Román Local Education Management Unit (UGEL), in coordination with the provincial municipality, has launched several artistic competitions for students. These include a regional painting contest for primary and secondary students and a national school music band and symphony band competition. Winners in the musical categories will receive instruments to support their artistic development.
