San Roque hosts Feria Real 2026 festivities

The Feria Real de San Roque 2026 is set to commence with a coronation ceremony in the Plaza de las Constituciones on Tuesday, August 11. The festivities will continue through Monday, August 17, featuring a variety of events including musical performances, parades, a religious procession for the Patron Saint, and the traditional ‘toro del aguardiente’.

Mayor Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix noted that while high temperatures may shift much of the activity to the early morning hours, the event remains a vital gathering point for residents and visitors at the Los Olivillos fairgrounds. The program also includes a ‘cena de mayores’, a women’s lunch, and a ‘domingo rociero’.

Adding to the local significance, 17-year-old Esmeralda Catalina Villalta Jiménez has been named the youth queen for the 2026 fair. She expressed her pride in representing the municipality and its cherished traditions during this major local celebration.
