San Roque celebrates Feria Real and patron saint festivities

The town of San Roque is celebrating its Feria Real with a series of religious and cultural events. A central highlight is the feast of Santa María La Coronada, the city's patroness. The festivities include a solemn mass and a traditional procession through the historic district, accompanied by the Maestro Infantes Music Band. Local families also participated in a tradition presenting young children to the Virgin for blessings.

Other scheduled activities for the fair include musical performances, gastronomy, and traditional dances. Additionally, a bullfighting event was held at the local plaza, which featured a special initiative allowing 400 local seniors to attend for a reduced price of five euros. The town also held a ceremony at the Jesusín de Galiana chapel to honor San Roque, the patron saint of pets, where local residents brought their dogs and cats for a special blessing.
